is committed to assisting its customers and the general public impacted
by recent Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. Many
services of particular importance are highlighted here.

Impacted
customers who are concerned about their accounts should know that American Express has:
- Established
special procedures for Cardmembers to address additional spending
needs, delayed payments
and associated fees.
- Temporarily
stopped the mailing of statements and card delivery to Cardmembers
in impacted zip codes.
- Established
special Merchant procedures to address concerns with fees,
reimbursements and disputes.
- Begun
assisting Merchants in receiving electronic reimbursements, as well
as obtaining equipment needed to manually authorize and submit
charges.
- Reached
out to travel customers who may have been impacted to coordinate
alternative travel plans.

financial, medical, and lodging assistance, Cardmembers can contact the
Global Assist hotline at 1-800-333-2639, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
From outside the U.S., please call 1-715-343-7977.
All collect calls are accepted.
Services include:
- Wiring
money to Cardmembers or their loved ones for pick up at Western Union or
Moneygram locations
- Locating
available lodging and enabling check-in for Cardmembers
- Assisting
with medical referrals and prescription replacement

American Express Website Services
- Cardmembers can complete payments, billing address and phone changes, disputes, and statement reviews by logging into the American Express secure website.
- Cardmembers who need to contact American Express but are unable to do so by phone, can login to the American Express website and send a secure email via our Secure Message Center
- Merchants who require additional equipment and supplies can click here to order these online.

All
American Express Travel Service Offices except those in Metarie, LA and
Lake Charles, LA are open for business. Cardmember services vary by location. These services include emergency card replacement, card payment acceptance, and personal check cashing. Travelers cheques are also available. Click here to search for locations,
